Hi Lifson,
Great idea for a project - a general guide to 'how to put up an Internet site' is definitely something we'd be interested in.
To create a title page for your project, simply go to your peronal space and click the 'Add Guide Entry' button (down there on the left-hand side). You'll then be able to create a new page on which your project details should be placed, with links to the other pages in your project. When you create that new page, it will have an A-number assigned to it - if you can then post that back here, I'll link your page into the Computer Science Department.
Best of luck with it!

Neat! Thanks for your help and the okay, I'll get right on it! I won't letcha down cap'n! (and other equally mega-enthusiastic talk!)
I'll be okay putting external URLs in won't I? I know you'll have to moderate them and so forth, but it'll be okay once it's finished right?

URLs in entries (as opposed to Conversations, like this one) are fine, so long as they don't break the House Rules. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/HouseRules for full details.
You'll probably be absolutely fine.

Hey Lifson. You might want to check out Vegiman's personal space as he was doing some work on explaining javascripts or something like that...
Anyway, good luck on your project!
