Yes, a few years ago, at the Commonwealth Institute. I can remember thinking 2/3 of the way over 'Wow, I haven't felt anything!' Then - Ow! Ow! and I thought (well, suffice to say, rude words) as I realised I had broken the spell. Once at the other end, my feet well slooshed with water, I asked the woman behind me if she was going to do it again. She said 'Yes! Are you?' and I told her that no, I wasn't. She then said 'Oh go on, I am'and I said 'Oh all right, then', and found myself committed to doing it all again.
Interestingly enough, it was an entirely different experience the second time.
