What with all the post Sept 11 security for the Academy Awards and the parties to see the show and afterwards, and all the dodrodded limosines pertaining thereof, Hollywood, West Hollywood, and Beverly Hills was one horrible huge miserable traffic jam. It was much worse than the LA Marathon jams, because for it, they just block of the streets that it's on. They must have blocked out every street for 8 blocks in every direction from the Kodak theater.
I want to be compensated!

I completely support your campaign for compensation.
Must be even worse than the Halloween Parade on Sunset. That was bad enough, although at least you can pretty much drive up to it.

A chunk of Santa Monica Blvd in West Hollywood gets blocked off for Halloween. I have walked there a few times as I live close enough. They also only block off the section that it's in, so you can drive around it if you like. If any stars come to it, they get to walk on foot like anyone else and their limos don't block anyone or park in a lane of traffic just to show they can.
I have never visited Sunset on the same day, so I don't know what it's like there on Halloween. The Sunset Strip can be pretty wild on any weekend any time of the year!

I lived in Venice for a while and had friends Westwood and knew a girl who lived just off Sunset, we all met up there and went to the Parade one Halloween....My god, some of the things that we saw, twould make your hair curl.
