Sixteenth Century Babel Fish

"The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool."

Thus speaks Touchstone in As You like It written by William Shakepeare in 1599.

Is it just me, or did Shakespeare have a good grip on the babel fish situation four hundred years ago?

think about it.

Hmm, intellectual debates...ok, switching into 'deep' mode now (deep breath)...ahh now you were saying?
Ah yes. By your comment, did you mean that the use of the babel fish enables uneducated uni-linguists (i.e. the fool) to comprehend languages otherwise outside of their grasp? Conversely, those who are intelligent enough understand the principle behind the babel fish (i.e. the wise man) fully realise the limit to their knowledge displayed via the babel fish (i.e that they are fools)?

Or perhaps its just that Shakespeare is, like, a whole different language, man, and you need some kinda translater even to understand his gnarly lingo dude?
