Hi Otto,
I've linked your entry on Rawls in an Ask Convo.
I know you are quite discreet. I hope I haven´t done anything that may cause you any uncomfortable feeling. Sorry if it is so. Im almost a newbie and there are surely a few unstated rules that I don´t know.
On the other hand. I want to tell you that your way of argumenting is balanced, calm, thoughful...really constructive.
I haven´t noticed you before. Im glad to "meet" you.

No, that's fine. It's pretty much always okay to link to edited entries - that's what they're there for. What was the conversation - I might have missed it?
Sorry not to have replied before - I didn't see your message until today.

Hi Otto,
The convo is " Reading/read The Road to Serfdom" by Friedrich Hayeck.
" starring" so far by: silicon-biased, researcher number, Zagreb and Pedro.
I got bored at some point with the convo... too much for me. I need something more diluted, a bit more divulgative. I've got quite a lot of naughty lazy flippant neurons. I'm trying to domesticate them. But when they get rebelious...

Thanks for that - I've just added a few thoughts.

De nada.
Yes, I've just read them.
YOu should do that entry. I would love to read it. I'm not flattering. I had a teacher who "forced" us to defend different ideas to ours. We resisted at the beginning but it was quite "enlightening".
I know you wouldn´t do a hollow exercise of rhetoric with that author. So, I would love to read that entry.

Hi Otto,
I want to tell you that I´ve felt some relief reading your words in the BNP thread. I felt not alone. Also, I really appreciate your way of arguing. As I told you once, you are discreet, calm and now I would say that you are a sound good man. Thanks for being here.
Don´t worry about replying this. I know your convo list moves quickly and you may miss this message.
I´m simply doing an exercise of emotional intelligence that says: tell others what you find positive in them if it´s sincere. That is,
I appreciate you.

That's very kind of you to say, thank you. And thank you for your comments too.
I really don't like it when discussions turn personal and certain people let their frustrations get the better of them. It ought to be possible to disagree in a civil manner, and respect those with whom you disagree. That's what I like about the site so much. Usually!
