Here's something I wrote whilst digesting. If you're ever in Georgetown, stop by and we can go out for lunch.

Hi! Can you believe I've actually lived in Seattle for 4 years, and I don't think I've ever actually ventured into south Seattle?

Anyways, I like it. Here are a few comments:

1) Alki bakery is listed twice, and the first time there's no comment after it.

2) It's "McDonald's" not "MacDonald's"

3) It might be handy to list where some of these places are.

4) If I was looking for a quick bite for lunch, I might also want to know which ones are and are not really crowded at lunch time. Personally, I'd also want to know which ones the cute guys hang out at, but that may be beyond the scope of this entry. smiley - winkeye

Mikey Mikey, what a mind you have smiley - winkeye

Yet strangely I feel compelled to agree with you
I like the look of this entry, but I would like a little more information on a few of the places mentioned.

Also, for my own information since I'm an ignorant Brit, what is Teriyaki?

Silly me! I posted an old version, the correct one is up now. Have another look, it's just a bit better.

Teriyaki is a magic sauce that will turn any sort of meat into Japanese food.

I've added locations for most of them, excepting the ones I don't really want people to go to.
Ahh, the thrills of power!

Ahhh, much better now. Makes me hungry, although not *quite* hungry enough to get in my car and drive the 20 minutes to Georgetown... smiley - winkeye

Maybe I should get cracking and write an entry about places to lunch in Fremont.....?

Yeah Mikey, and we can work our way inward! I'll do south seattle, then you do Capitol hill. Then I'll do First hill and then we can collaborate on downdown. Or we could make it a Uni project: Lunch in Seattle.

And we'll have to work Belltown and Queen Anne in there, too.

Just had a thought -- the title might be more clear if it was "Lunch in the Georgetown Neighborhood of Seattle, USA" or somesuch.

That might work. You don't think it's too wordy? Let's see what other people think.
Come on, folks. Don't be shy. You don't have to be from Seattle to comment (though being a regular lunch eater would be a welcome qualification).

I've never been to Georgetown. I haven't read more than 0.5% of these reviews but I have eaten food.

Congrats! Congrats! Congrats!

I'm now supposed to give you the official spiel (sp?), and let you know that the entry will be put into a queue to be edited by a sub-editor (which may take a few weeks), and will then be polished off by the real editors, and will then be put in a queue to appear on the front page. Wooooooo hoo!

Congrats!

Hey, I've got good taste. smiley - tongueout Why don't you start in on some of the other Seattle neighborhoods you're familiar with? If you write another one, I'll write one on Fremont, how's that for a deal?
