I was quite surprised to see your name on the site.
In my youth we frequently the well worn phrase 'up yer clunge' as a term of gentle abuse. I had thought that we had somehow invented the word, although one friend insisted that it was Scottish for 'rear orifice' (I hope that doesn't offend the moderator) but my old scots granny had never heard of it.
Perhaps the truth can now be told. Where did the clunge come from? Are you north of the border? Or did me & my mates somehow telepathically transmit our invented word to you?

I cannot help you as much with the origin of my name, I found it on a pub carpet once, picked up and took it for my own.

For me it can mena whatever you like, if you played golf then you may have clunged a shot. You could indeed shove it up yer clunge. Or would lke to give a particular person a good clunging.

Personally I like to refer to it as a kettle...

If you take an old-style metal kettle, put a little water in it, then hit it with a wooden spoon while swirling it gently, you do get a nice clungy sort of noise.
