Welcome to hootoo!

Great that you have written an introduction on your Personal Space; it means you are far more likely to get folks dropping by to say hello; we're a friendly bunch!

So, you're into all things nauticalsmiley - cool...any particular kind of ships, or just anything that floats? I used to live on a narrowboat on the English canals, what a great life! I'm pretty landlocked now, live in South West France, the nearest "boaty" place is La Rochelle, which has lots of expensive yachts during the tourist season. Plus i believe they have some sort of event for the "tall ships".

Maybe you might like to write a Guide Entry on some aspect of ships: see the Writing Guidelines for more details on how to do this, we are always looking for interesting articles on here, you could end up on the Front page!smiley - biggrin

Anyway, do enjoy wandering around, lots of fun places to visit on here; if you mention you are a newbie, people will always try & help & point you towards parts of the site you might find interesting.

smiley - cheers

Awesome! That would be so cool to live on a narrowboat in England. As for my "ship preference" (lol) I am enthralled by the great ocean liners of the early 20th century, especially ones that sank. It may seem slightly morbid, but it seems that I'm iexplicably drawn to the lure of the sunken 'greyhounds of the Atlantic'. Yup. Like the Titanic, or the Lusitania.
But I digress. Thank you for the warm welcome! Also, could you kindly explain the who, what, when, where, and why of cheese boxes? You have peaked my curiosity!
