Last Love

I can't believe there have been no comments as yet about this story. I loved it. I think the imagery he uses, for example in describing the passing of time in his life by the months of the year, and personifying Dublin as the beautiful lady he met, is very effective
It is a bitter-sweet piece of writing which touched me at a deep level as I read about his intense vulnerability where lady Brenda was concerned and the profound effect she had on his life. It seems his quality of life was destroyed by the unrequited depth of feeling he had for her and her suicide. He hardly knew her yet he loved her.
I think you may well have to experience the joy and suffering of unrequited love to understand it fully.
The author writes in the first person and gives a sensitive insight into his character's mind and heart. I loved it.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
