I have a heightened Fight, flight or Freeze reaction, One of the things that is a trigger for it is sudden loud noises. Given this you would expect me to dislike fireworks, They consist of sudden loud noises and bright flashes of light, but If i know in advance that Fireworks are going to be happening and I can prepare myself and watch them, I actually quite enjoy them.
As many of you will know, tonight is Bonfire night in The UK which celebrates Guy Fawks attempt to destroy the houses of Parliament with an explosion.
I'm looking forward to watching the fireworks with some friends tonight, although I need to remember to wrap up warm as it is cold and gets dark early now that the clocks have changed.
