minichessemouse - Ahoy there me barnacle! Started conversation Nov 2, 2011
It appears to be Wednesday.
Today S woke me up in order to inform me that it was 12.34pm (yes very childish, but i still love him to bits)
I don't have any classes on Wednesdays so it is usually a day for relaxing and catching up with getting stuff done.
Normally my Guitar lesson is on Wednesday, but my tutor had to rearrange for Monday this week. (why yes I have found a tutor willing to deal with a left handed individual who is quite spectacularly visually challenged.) So my fingers have already had their quotient of torture for this week.
S is working again today, mind you S is always working. He worked 58 hours last week, poor boy is working full time in one store and part time in another.
I'm planning on possibly starting work on some coursework today, possibly, if i get round to it.
My brain is a bit mushy, and i just ate a whole tube of Smarties (yes i know, i'm not *supposed* to have ) so i'm a bit

Stick with the guitar Mini. It might feel like torture now but eventually it feels marvellous to stroke the strings into submission to your musical will

Synthetic strings/cords (?) are much eaiser to your finger tops than the metallic ones - which kind are you using?

my guitar for reasons unknown to both myself and my tutor has half nylon, and half steel strings.
But it's certainly more comfortable to play than the one I had before.

Half and half? Isn't that a bit confusing?

top three (high notes) are nylon, bottom three (low notes are steel)
and actually it's helpful as I can feel which is which easier.

Ah yes, that sounds like standard classical guitar strings with the lower 3 strings wound round with metal and the upper 3 plain nylon? Much easier on the fingers.
