Hello,
Much as I like idle speculation (especially instead of doing work), I'm afraid this entry is not really suitable for the Edited Guide. Basically, you can think of the Edited Guide as a Britannica of the Offbeat, in that we explore more esoteric subjects. However, we do try to remain objective, factual, and in the third person. So an article with your personal speculations and theories is unfortunately not allowed.
That said, let me offer a silver lining. While this is the place for submitting entries to the Edited Guide, all of the content on this site (including your article) are part of the larger Unedited Guide, where everything is allowed. There are a lot of good things in the Unedited Guide that don't mean the criteria for the Edited Guide, but that doesn't mean they're bad or worthless (it would be similar to saying that poetry or fiction is worthless because it's not in the reference section of the library). And your entry is still searchable and linkable and easily found by visitors to the Guide.
Yours,
Jake

Hmm.... while these are certainly interesting musings, I don't really think the entry is suitable for adding to the Edited Guide, I'm afraid. It would make a good Journal Entry (you can easily add them on your User Space), or part of a discussion on 'Ask h2g2' (start a thread like "what is the brain REALLY for?" - http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/askh2g2 ), or even just a guide entry by itself (by all means keep it up, as it's a fun read). However, to be part of the Edited Guide it would really need more... substance, and a few more facts to back up your claims!
Keep writing, it's a good start, and welcome to h2g2, by the way! An ACE should be round to help you settle in soon.

Damn, you beat me to it Cogito! By the time h2g2 finally let me post (browser problems) twas all in vain...

Ah, the joy of simulposting. No, it wasn't in vain. You included some lovely links and resources.

Well, of course you're absolutely right. But by putting this forward I found out much more about how h2g2 works than I ever would have by reading all the tedious rules, regs and guidelines. Thanks for your comments. I will post it, instead, as a Journal entry.

Hello,
No problem. Welcome to the Guide. I hope you have a good time exploring here in this strange hybrid between a BBS and information repository. I imagine we'll see another entry from you here in the future, and I look forward to it. Until then, see you around.
Yours,
Jake
