h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've recently decided that an inordinate number of people who, for one reason or another, have cause to make up their home phone number - whether to lie to an unwanted suitor, parole officer or other unsuspecting person - have my current home phone number pop into their heads. I've had more calls in the last few weeks for people who were told by other people that if they wanted to get in contact with them that they need to call the 10 digits that belong to me. I've never heard of either the callers or the callees, so I can only assume that there is some mystical significance of my phone number to the subconscious of the human mind. Maybe I'll learn what it is someday. If you have the answer, just make up a phone number and you'll probably reach me.
