Have you worked out how to achieve the "third ending" (with fireworks)from the game, I haven't.

With Fireworks?
I've completed it properly, then I completed it and let the bomb go off. I didn't know there was another ending.

I just did a BBC search for it, and found a document released by alt.fan.douglas-adams, which said it's impossible to do the third ending by playing the game but it is on the first CD (and hopefully my DVD version!).

I'll have a look - if you can find it let me know which file it is!

So I did - I put the DVD in the drive, randomly went through the files, and the first one I clicked was a111.avi - and that's an ending with fireworks!

I can't find any way of getting to it from the game!

I doubt there will be a simple way.

I've tried:
Rescuing the parrot,
not smashing the head sculptures,
not pureeing the starlings,
start to finish of game in one session (45mins),
Putting items back where I found them.

some one out there must know.
