Like Arthur Dent after randomly calculating where his cave was on old Earth and discovering it to be the house where Fenchurch lived, I'm feeling Vigorus and Dynamic today. I don't know why. I mean, I had a pretty good day today so that's contributing. I had my BWC hearing today (BWC = Bureau of Workman's Compensation) and got some good news from that. I had a fall at work in January...slipped in some ice in the parking lot and fell on my knee pretty hard. So blah blah doctor's visits blah blah physical therapy blah blah blah. My work contested the workman's comp claim because my doc was an a**hole and in the middle of the course of treatment added a specification to my claim without explaining why. So today was the hearing to see whether my work's appeal would be upheld or not. And I was a little freaked because I can't afford to pay for physical therapy and about a million doctor's visits and I thought if they sided with my work then I'd be on the hook for all those medical bills. But today, at the hearing, I learned that work didn't contest the claim itself, just the extra specification the doc added. And I also learned that the a**hole doc sent them a clarification of the added specification but they didn't get it until 2 days before the hearing or else they would have cancled the hearing and stopped the appeal. And on top of all that, it doesn't matter whether BWC sides with me or with my work because all my treatments were filed under the original claim and didn't have anything to do with the extra specification. So even if they side with work, all my medical bills will be paid thru BWC. So this is a huge weight off my shoulders. And that plus caffeine would probably be what's putting me into this Vigorus and Dynamic mood lol.
So my friend Gail who lives in the UK just told me you don't have Mountain Dew over there. That is truly a saddening thought. I mean, Mountain Dew is only the best soda ever! Except when it makes you hyper...like it's doing to me right now.
