Just wanted to let you know that I've been enjoying the discussion, for the most part, and that I'm hoping you won't stay on the fence much longer. (Jumped off yet? :^) Supporting Israel's right to exist doesn't mean we can't recognize the problems of the Palestinians, whatever the cause.

Thanks for writing to me, halavana. I'm not entirely sure I *am* on the fence, but I didn't particularly want to come across as biased as others we've heard from on the "Hate...Hate..." thread. It's an ugly fact that hatred will not be influenced by reasoned discussion.
I *do* try to recognise the causes for people's hatred, but that doesn't stop me from getting wound up when they don't reason back...
