so why the title sociopharmacy, I'll agree it is an intriuging word and certainly got my attention.... but but but... whats it got to do with copyright infringement and other things going on below the surface... thinking about it i kind of see what you mean, but then again i frequently find im on completely the wrong track when I get the feeling... anyway, more more soon... and that Morris V/Vm supergroup would indeed be interesting

Basically SOCIOPHARMACY is a stupid word I used in tribute to media and customer services gibberish used the world over. If we want to give it a definition, what about "the development, manufacture, administration and study of the effects of certain materials which are intended to treat the ills of modern society". The "ills" can be such enemies as hypocrisy, greed, spindoctoring and social division caused by the above. The materials are protest, education, communication and humour.

Right - sorry for that, it's undoubtedly the most pretentious thing I've ever written. When I say the word, I'm referring to Chris Morris, Bill Hicks, [url removed by moderator], The Onion, V/Vm, Cassetteboy, Will Self, The Tape-Beatles, and a thousand other people who warp the output of the establishment and shove it back in their faces.

who are you? i am interested. anyone who sees a publication such as the onion as more that just funny but hugely useful is someone i can converse with.
i am equally frayed to a threadbare twithchiness by the diffuse and homogenous monologues of mass media and other standard opiates for the soul.
what has been forcd down our throats? the sooner we know the sooner we vomit it all up and feel a bit lighter?
i am thinking of making a small publication of my own.
