Hi Chairman
I see you had rather a dull time of it once you had posted the account of your wedding day, (which had me laughing out loud, and which sounds a really great way of getting hitched, btw).
You probably have not yet heard about the Underguide. (How to cut this long story short, I wonder?)
Essentially a group of volunteers have got a green-ish light from the Italics to select and created EDITED entries which do not conform to the current standards for Edited Entries. There will still be some guidlines, but the ban on first person writing will not apply to these 'Underguide' entries. They will be full on Edited Entries, they will appear on the Front Page, they will turn up in the search page as 'Edited' entries, and so on and so on, but they will be part of the 'Underguide'.
This scheme is not up and working *yet* - but the outlines are in place, and, as I said, we have had a greenish light from the good folks who run this place.
I strongly suspect that at least one of your entries will be picked, and since you are still around-ish, and since we would much rather work with authors than without them, and since we are concentrating on choosing entries by people who are still here, it would be frabjously hoopy if you were to mosey along to F74130?thread=120758#p1616803 and say if you are willing to make a few tweakettes to the entry!

Tweaking is one of my strong points (in fact tweaking strong points sounds like a lot of fun!). Sort of forgot to come here when wasn't getting any joy. Will look for you.

Yeah - h2g2 ebbs and flows like a bunch of teenage girls. But there is stuff going on here. Somewhere!

I don't know many teenage girls anymore. do they really do that these days?

Just a mettyfor. I admit to remembering being a teenage girl, rather than working on recent experiences!

You should always work on recent experiences! They get better in time.

A dreadful thing when the nape of your neck enters your mind. Or it should be.

Rather remeniscent (spelling!) of the old "What's the last thing to go through a fly's mind when it hits your windscreen? It's a*se".

Chairman Mei Posted Feb 24, 2003
Damn! I meant "Its a*se"!

Chairman Mei Posted Feb 24, 2003
Strange, everytime I write a*se, it comes out a*se with an "*"!
