Looks like you are finding your way about quite happily, but I thought I'd drop by and greet you with a hearty "Welcome to h2g2 "
I am an ACE and it is part of our voluntary job to make new members welcome and provide any help if you so require it.
Should you wish to leave a messsage of condolences to Mr. Adam's family and friends at this sad time, could I point you to the relevant area of the Guide: (just click on this link below and it will transport you there directly)

If i can help in any way, don't hesitate to reply to me here or by clicking on my name and leaving a message on my space. Places to start may include the Welcome page:

My advise to you would be to dive in and browse around, and naturally feel free to post to any conversations you like, we are a friendly bunch after all
Oh and should you write an article, why not let me know and I'll read it and help you to get it noticed by the relevant people.
Nice meeting you and hope to see you around,
B-17
Hi MCB

Much thanks for the nice note! I'm quite happy to be here.
I've finally got my Personal Space up to my liking, so I can soon get started on some Guide Entries.
It might be that no one is really interested in the things I am, but I see a lot of gaps in the Guide. I shall try to rectify that.
It's a shame that I've only just now begun using my account. When I heard about Douglas's death, I figured getting involved with h2g2 was the least I could do.
Hope to see you around.
Michael

Hi Mike, and quite welcome. Glad to hear youa re happy to be here.
I like what you have done with your spacwe, and glad to see you have grasped the hang of GuideML
There is only one way to find out if people are interested, and that's to get writing, and get chatting in conversations, and exploring the vastness that is h2g2. Go on, dive in!
getting involved means DNA's vision lives on. It was a close call at the beginning of the year. If the BBC hadn't bought us, we might not be here now. The site closed for over 6 weeks, while the details were being wrangled, but we were that close to closure, the liquidators had been called in!
Just post a message in this thread, anytime you want to chat to me, or click on my name and leave a message at my space. Again, anytime you need help, just shout and I'll do my best to help you
Later,
B-17
