h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I have to have music when driving. I get white line fever when i drive if i don't have anything to do except look at the same bit of road for hours. I do most of my long distance driving at night, which kinda cuts out the seneic stuff.

Jersey facts:

1. Newark, is NOT, in fact, hell, but you can see it from there.
2. The airport ain't bad, though.
3. And, Kate and I have talked about this--I thought Jersey'd look like a DMZ, too, but bits of it are shockingly not ugly.
4. It gets really, really, really, really hot there.

In other words, it's just like 100 other places we could complain about?

And that's 100 places in the same time zone.

*puts on her complaining hat* Oh where, oh where do I start?

Who has something crappy to say about Navada? I've never heard anyone slag Navada.

Bill Bryson does in 'The Lost Continent'....

Or was that Utah?

Well, there is apparently PLENTY to hate about Utah. In fact, I've never even been there and I bet I could come up with stuff to hate about Utah. I've never heard anything bad about Navada though.

Well, there's legalized gambling, legalized prostitution, lots of hot desolate landscape.....

(Not that there's anything wrong with that! )

It still beats Jersey!

Nevada...is hotter than Jersey. Much, much, much hotter. Stinky hot. Death hot. Cow-skulls-on-the-roadside-hot. Nasty nasty nasty.

The casinos, however, are air-conditioned, and have that lovely propensity to pass out free drinks. If, that is, you're losing 100 bucks a hand on card games.

Don't know if that balances out the heat, tho. It's nice there in October.

But is it better than New Jersey?
