Off down the allotment shortly before it gets too hot.
Strim paths, get runner beans plot ready, tidy up and do as i'm told.
Don't forget flask of coffee!

Back now - dug in green manure - dug a trench and filled with compost etc. for the runner beans and did some weeding.

Allotment eh? Been contemplating that myself. Last time I had one (some 20 years ago now), I was overrun by "knowledgeables" telling me not to do this and that with the earth and not to do this and that with a rotovator, etc. etc. It all became too suffocating and I left.
But I think I could hack it now.... off to the Council to see what they've got.
Er.... perhaps not, it's gone 2100 - and it's Sunday.
Will try tomorrow!

Watering and shed move for fellow allotmenteer, except that they decided to move it intact and accross two other allotments. Oh well -all done.
No high and mighty on our allotments otherwise would not be there.

Allotments are very trendy at the moment. They've even made a film about them !! How can I get one ?

Start by asking your local authority.
They will tell you where they are (the allotments that is) or who to conntact if it they are being run by an agency -most of the information can be found on line these days.
I saw the prog about he making of the film - It will have to be good to beat 'Billy two sheds' with James Bolan.

We have a buzzard sitting on top of a shed down on the allotments- superb creature. We thought it was a fox taking the woodpigeons, but it could be the buzzard.

Buzzard! Love to see that.
All we get here (apart from the usual garden birds) is flocks of parakeets! They are very pretty, but they are so noisy, and their flight is so untidy they are not even a joy to watch on the wing - or when they are pecking away at my apple tree!
One bird I have never seen on the wing is an Owl. Now that would be something! (Well to me, anyway!)

Early on morning we were making for the ferry, in the car - day out in Jernsea. Came round a corner and this large owl was standing in the middle of the road - caught something, I guess. I don't know w-hoo was more surprised. Missed it.
We see Barn owls from time to time at dusk. Non at the allotments.

No it was really an exercise in manipulation of the clay - roll a slb - form round a tube - dry it with ahair dryer and then manipulate with beaters and fingers. Pleased with the outcome. Oh yes! male, but no Adonis.
What is your painting of and what medium?

Sky and lake in water colour, trees, cos I can get the bark of the trees to feel and look like REAL bark, with acrylic.I'm really quite pleased with the finished painting !! Not quite sure when I'll start the next one !! Work gets in the way of pleasure So,far to frequently !!!

Pleased to say previous pc has fired OK. I like acrylics - they are so versatile. I'm no 2D artist though. I have a bash and enjoy that.
