Oh...
Arthur Posted Jun 10, 2001
That`s changing everything! I excuse for saying that you won`t get any women!!!
Why don`t you guys write your sex at your page? It would make it easier for idiots like me to get it !

Well Arthur it seems that you have started something I'm sure now that you are reading the names that respond, right?
So I guess that I'm a geek. Like you said Arthur, it's not a swear. Anyway I wear glasses and sit in front of a computer, although I no longer live with my parents. I don't drive a Volvo. Instead we have a Honda 650 street and trail motorbike and a BMW motobike.
Does having a page on h2g2 count?
I personaly think that it's pretty cool to find fellow "geeks" and we should proudly proclaim ourselves! I can't find a smiley that I can use for that
Anway I'm now officially unemployed.
The more the merrier!!!!

The account counts of course! But this motorbikes destroy all! It`s definetely too cool! What does "we" mean?
Do you thing that I offended Franacropan? Would you have made the same mistake? After all I`m not an native speaker you know? It´s very difficult to understand all the jokes and of course to make some good ones.

No offence what so ever, I am enjoying this thread.
I suppose I should have put my sex on my page but I thought the mention of cross stitch might be a pointer. I am so used to people calling me Fran that I forget it is a "sexless" name.
By the way, any cross stitching guys, keep it up.

I don't think you have insulted her. But then again I can't speak for her.
Without a "girl" name like mine I think that I would have made the same mistake. It happens that most of my geeky friends are male so I understand where the mistake could have happened.
The bikes cancel out geekiness!! Well I read lots of science fiction and my favourite movies are Blade Runner and Star Wars. Not the re-edited ones though. There I have re-established my belonging to the tribe of Geek
Does this mean that you didn't read my intro?????
The "we" are/is my husband and I. I get to ride (or is it drive) a smaller dirt bike. Well when we get it running
So far I'm just the passenger. But as soon as I get my license, it's "Ciao, baby" or "eat my dust" or something like that.
I think that you're doing fine. I don't speak German anymore. So I would make the same mistake if this was a German forum.

What about "Eat my shorts" while speeding away ???
Fran, WHATZZZ UUUUUP? (Scary Movie)
Well Blade Runner brings you ahead in our little race although I`ve glasses. Star Wars is not my favourite science-fiction movie/show. It`s Star Trek of course !
Do you know what`s pissing me off most ? It`s that I read the Hitchhiker in German, so I don`t know all the cool things in English like:
- Gods last message to the mankind (Entschuldigen sie die Strapazen)
- Arthurs piece of cloth that he aaaaalways wear (Bademantel)
- The Vogon poetry-stuff (Oh grüner Kittklumpen den ich in meiner Achselhöhle fand...)
So I can just be as half as funny as I`m in German !!! Maybe you can translate.
Arthur

We apologise for the inconvenience .
House coat .
Oh Freddled Gruntbuggly
Thy nacturations are to me
as plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee
Groop! I implore thee, my foonting turlingdromes
And hooptiously drangle with me, crinkly Bindlewirdles,
or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon
See if I don't! .
Next please, this is fun, give me more translations

So you mean me? For the immature??? Well I don't think that you have to married to be immature or vis versa. But basically yes, I am. To both So does this throw me out to the Geek Tribe? I hope not. And Arthur I wear glasses, too!
Star Trek the movie or the series. Old or Next Generation? I didn't like Voyager. I tried.
Fran, if you don't mind me calling you that, I tried cross stitching... I basically suck at it so I embroider other ways
The translations are cool. I would like to see a German version of Hitchhiker's.

incidentally, isnt the "Oh grüner Kittklumpen den ich in meiner Achselhöhle fand...)" quote the title of The poet Grunthos the Flatulent of the Azogoth poets, and threfore the second worst poetry in the known universe, as opposed to vogon poetry, which is of course merely the third?
"Ode To A Small Lump of Green Putty I Found In My Armpit One Midsummer Morning"
