What's new with the C-meister hey?

Well, I'm in Donkey Kong 64 hell! A few weekends ago my husband bought it for our 5 y/o. And he (the 5 y/o ) wants to play it ALL the time and he wants AT LEAST an audience and usually assistance beating bad guys too. I am sooooooooo tired of Donkey Kong. I thought it was a fad that he would get over. He wakes EVERY day saying "I want to play Donkey Kong". Including weekends (EARLIER on weekends).

*sigh* he's obsessive. I can't imagine WHERE he gets it from

I have Donkey Kong 64. I kinda like it...

I don't have anyone getting up early to play it though. I wouldn't if I did, I'm sure.

You could always... er... I dunno, give him a conditional cookie.

"Yes, you can have this cookie, but only if you sit in the kitchen and eat it. Slooowwwwly."

LOL! I think I would like it if I were better at it. Andrew likes to do things like swim, swing on vines, shoot at things. He's getting very good with the various combination of keys. But he also loves to just run them around doing their various things (his favourite is Tiny and especially teeny Tiny - a close second is Chunky and especially hunky Chunky).

I get dizzy watching and try to escape but he's always saying "watch this" and "Mommy, you aren't watching!"

When the baddies are really bad though, Mommy is supposed to do it. I have beaten the bosses enough to get us to Fungi Forest. That's good cause he's having LOTS of fun bouncing around on mushrooms and especially stomping some great big tomatoes.

We will be stuck there forever though, cause the thing called Dogadon II is near impossible, and so is the DK arcade game.

And this is why C is the best mommy in the whole world!

This was supposed to be my week to get back with my exercise program and reorganize my flagging job search. I was raring to go. And then it turned out that the school district is having spring break for the week and even though Andrew is in a private kindergarten that would keep him anyway, he would have a miserable week (they get VERY disorganised there during the school break periods, and everything goes wrong and there is no real learning going on). So he's been home all week. All 12 days of it.

Oh what day are you leaving again? I'm so happy for you!

I'm leaving on Tuesday! Hooray!! I need him so much. Soooo much...
