Yes, as soon as I saw you online, I knew you were from Grimsby.smiley - biggrin
I was born in Cleethorpes, and I am still here!smiley - erm
My name is Galaxy Babe and I've been on h2g2 for almost a year.
We're all shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of Douglas Adams, but I'm sure we will soon be our usual jovial selves again, given a bit of time.
In the meantime, welcome to h2g2.smiley - hug

Cheers m'dears,

I have to admit that I too was born in Cleethorpes, a fact which made little impact on my life until, strangely enough, I moved to Hungary. As 'Cleethorpes' is stated as my place of birth on my Passport it has now found itself cunningly imprinted on various other Hungarian documents, normally in various amusing (mis)spellings. Notably as Cleetkorpes on my Car Registration Document (for full effect remember (if you ever knew) that 's' in Hungarian is pronounced 'sh' ... as for why they need my place of birth on a Car Registration document ... well welcome to Hungary is the only response to that!)

Anyway, have fun. I intend to be around for a while. Honouring the memory of Douglas Adams with the continuation of his rather fun little encyclopaedia concept thing.

It's informative and fun!
We intend to make it a living memorial to the great man.
Try the "search" facility, if you can't find something which YOU know a bit about, by all means write a guide entry.
I'll help you, if you require assistance.
Just give me a shout.smiley - winkeye
