Just over? Are you positive? I'm sure I took account of timezones so that it was in terms of where I am (i.e. GMT), it should have been just over (1004 hours-ish) when you posted. I think. Either your clock's out, your timezone's not set correctly or my code's wrong. I know what I've got my money on (not that I can be bothered to fix it).

Anyhoo, yes the excitement is building. Although I don't really have anything to look forward to until 20 Jan, when I'm going on a yodelling holiday to the Swiss Alps. I had to do something to enable me to post on bubster's page. Although I've made a few amateurish attempts to yodel in the past, I don't really feel comfortable yodelling without a qualified instructor being present. I'm taking lessons in Zermatt, they have a small school there that is affiliated with Le Instituit de Yodel, Geneva.

Ah, I can picture it now:

"High on a hill stands a lonely goat,
Yodel-ay yodel-ay yodeugh *cough*"

*shudders*

See what I mean? I need them lessons bad!

It was showing 1109 hours last night, and I just took note of what it said a second ago, but I've totally forgotten already. I think it was 1093, though.

Excellent idea, yodeling. I'm taking a correspondence course at the moment, but I don't know how it's going to work out.

You're in the Central timezone, are you not? And what your seeing is about 6 hours out as far as I'm concerned. I guess that makes sense. Jolly good.

The only place I know of that offers a correspondence course is Der Yodel Grundlage, Bonn. Bunch of cowboys, from what I understand. I'm not sure how you're supposed to learn something like yodelling, which requires constant feedback and correction from a certified tutor to ensure that you're not doing serious damage to your vocal cords, from a few FedEx'd tapes. If you lose your voice permanently through your foolhardy endeavours you can't say that I didn't warn you, so don't come crying to me.
