Hello PD,
Hope you don't mind - I've put your Panic Attacks article in the new Holistic Health magazine. A831557

I never notice messages that get posted down here until about 3 weeks later. So if I did mind about the inclusion of my article here, I would be a bit late in complaining. But of course I don't. I guess I could do with finishing it sometime - at least it reads ok - but then I could also do with finishing redecorating our flat as well. Mr Dragon's parents are visiting later this month. We probably ought to have room to put a bed out for them, and maybe a kitchen not six inches under dust. But hey!
Now back online for small amounts of time (whilst checking email at college) so it may be a while before I catch up with everything that's been going on.

Good to have you around albeit briefly...my beloved and I never seem to clean the house unless someone is coming. God knows what that tells the universe!
We also clean it when we go away...
Thanks for the retrospective permission!!

Hope you catch this...your article has been spotted by BBC health - Radio 4 has a programme about panic attacks today (weds) so they've linked from their website to your piece:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/ask_doctor/panic_attack.shtml and http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/ask_doctor/panic_attacks.shtml and also http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/complementary.
Hope that doesn't give you too much of a shock! Just goes to show what a good article it is. Congrats!

So never let me hear you underestimate yourself again, you hear?!
I'm dead chuffed too...we've always wanted 360 to be a resource for stories and articles and now it's finally happening.
I've written about it in The Post too..
Congrats!

Guess I'd better actually get around to adding in all the suggestions I've had soon.
I'm going to need to start going back to work to do all the work I want on H2G2/360. At the moment I'm with script at the moment. Or at least I will be when I've delivered the story line.
So much to do, so little time.

Ooo didn't know you were a scriptwriter (I expect everyone else does). What are you working on? - if it's not too intrusive a question.
I've been a writer for yonks - journalism, books but not scripts. Actually I have done one and am trying to adapt it for radio...but it's about the Biblical story of Esther so it's not exactly contemporary fare...!

I'm trying to write a short film script for the masters course I'm on. Fundamentally the course boils down to 15 months to make a film, which is very exciting, but could be busy. Still I'm encouraged by the progress I made yesterday. And I reckon it doesn't have to be contemporary, merely relevant. My script involves Penelope and Odysseus. Admittedly in the modern world, but hey. My characters are older than your characters, so nerrr
I seem to have become a writer by mistake. Or at least by accident. Until a few years ago when I wrote a play I never thought I could finish a story. Still I'm finding out that it's all a lot less mystical than I thought it was. More about hard work than fully formed and rounded inspiration. Which is encouraging really.

Hope the holiday was good. I can only dream of having a holiday at the moment. Still at least the flat should be finished by Christmas. Then Mr. Dragon and I can spend Christmas together in a shiny new nice flat. It was, of course, all meant to be finished months ago.
Did you take the holiday to write? Does it count as work or pleasure? I'm onto draft 3 and it is taking shape. At least people seem to like the basic concept. Or at least my tutors like it and that's a good thing.
And as it appears I don't have a lecture this afternoon, I'm going back home for a cup of tea and some painting.

Hello...I've got some time while at work to post the 'personal' stuff which is great.
No, the hol was just a hol...not for writing. It was scrummy though...we took a Radio Times trip to Tuscany, which was dead cheap because it was out of season and really good standard. And Tuscany is sooooo beautiful. I'd never been there before.
Since then, I've been on a series of evening courses on 'marketing yourself' which was really useful. All about publishing and getting the word out...so I will apply that to my books and the talks I do and I'm feeling very positive about them.
I used to do a lot of workshops with and without my ex but when he did a bunk one of the things (just one!) that I had to deal with was separating out my own material, changing tack and getting back on the workshops trail on my own. He was insistent that I couldn't use the same workshop names or content so it was a complete rejig job (and dealing with a lot of lack of confidence).
The course taught me a lot...especially about how I've been shooting myself in the foot for years and where my resistances have always come from. I can get over them now!
And I'm going to start my own mini-publishing company...I've got three friends who are still a part of the tetheredcamel.com website who are keen to join in with me and we're going to do it. Hooray!

Hya PD,
We've got a girl on the healing thread on 360 who has panic attacks. She's on A964523. I was wondering if you'd go over and recommend your article to her? And let her know that she's not alone?
Thanks a bunch
