Hi, The reason you experience the slanting effect inside Waterstones is due to subsidence. I am located around 10 miles from Nottingham. You are aware that Nottingham has a famous castle, very popular tourist attraction, well the whole area of the city is undercombed with caves connected to the castle. About 8 year ago one of these caves revealed itself when the road collapsed. This was at the junction of Mount st. and South parade. if you visit the castle you can take a tour of some of the caves.
