Hello, I'm called Zathras (OK I'm actually called something else but Zathras is a name I use online) and I am one of the Assistant Community Editors (ACEs), and I'd like to welcome you to h2g2!
If you are finding H2G2 a bit confusing and bewildering (I know I did at first) there are lots of options to get help. I notice that the Guide ML tags in your personal space are showing, I believe this is because you have typed the entry in plain text but used GuideML tags.
I notice that you say you like to read 'good books'. Well so do I (presumably everyone who likes to read feels what they read are good books ). Perhaps you would like to give some examples of the types of book you like to read (or even write guide entries about them).
For now, if you need any help either click the help button to get access to the help documentation or, if you prefer a more human(?) face simply reply to this message - I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
If you're planning to dive straight in that is great (the life of H2G2 is its researchers)- but before you start writing articles you may want to check out http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/GuideML-Clinic
It's an introduction to GuideML, which is a Markup Language (like HTML) we use in the Guide. It's very easy to use, and makes Guide entries look much better.
Remember if you need help or just want to have a chat, feel free to reply to this message.
