A Conversation for The London Underground
Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere"

I figure this belongs in here, right? All I need to know about the Underground I learned from Neverwhere.
Not really, of course, and I've been there a couple times and found it relatively easy to deal with.
But there must be other fans out there of Down Street, Night's Bridge, the Black Friars, the Earl's Court, etc. Mind the Gap.

Yep, great book. Incidentally, this is where my current obsession with all the hidden underground stations has come from, and I'm trying to find as many as poss. If anyone knows of any missing stations...

Yeah, Neverwhere was brilliant... shame so many people haven't heard of it, really. As for the 'missing stations', I can't actually help on that one, but how many have you found so far? Personally, I think the whole idea of forgotten places under London is immensely cool. Similarly, there're supposed to be 'lost' subway stations and so on in New York... imagine how cool it'd be if every city across the world had its own version of London Below...hmmm, opportunity for a sequel?
By the way, don't you think that the guy who played the Marquis de Carabas would be perfect as the next Doctor Who?

PS. Does anyone know if there are, or were, any plans to produce a comic version of Neverwhere? Given the people that could be involved, it'd be something to behold.
By the way, has Mr Gaiman ever done anything similar to Neverwhere?

Yes there's a couple of good places on the net to find out about lost or ghost tube stations

the other is amongst the fascinating facts on Clive's Underground guides where he goes into great detail about each tube line

If you're interested in Ghosts and Ghouls on the tube itself check out my page here
