h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Please accept this unofficial welcome to h2g2, a spin off sort of thing from "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"
But if you're here, you probably know that already, but it would explain why you see "42" appear in conversations for no apparent reason.
Go to the bar and click on "Who's Online", I just looked, there are 46 (?) more or less, online at present. I saw "Beky" and that you were new, and clicked on your line to get to your home page.
Don't be bored, go to home pages, look at mine for example, look at what people are talking about on the front page, go to "Life, the Universe and Everything", you can see how many researchers are in each country, and guide entries for those countries/places.
Just jump in.
I have been here for a week and put a bit in here, a bit there, just explore.
I keep saying this place is massive, but it's probably bigger than that.
When you've been exploring for a while, someone official will welcome you to h2g2, and suggest ways of making things easy.
Until then, point and click, contribute if you want, see if you get a reply.
If you get stuck, there's always the "Help" button, or ask somone.
Your intro page gave me some sort of idea about what to send, the more you say, sometimes the better.
