My incoherent relatives cannot be understood, so I'm guessing that incoherent here is used in a different sense.
What is incoherent light?
Incoherent Light?

hi,
coherent light is light which can interfere (or is it interfear ).
It has the same frequency and is emitted from a small aera
(sorry my english lacks a little).
Laser light for example is coherent light.
Incoherent light now is just the normal light (sun, lightbulb).
Data can't be stored in light (whatever its coherence status may be),
so i am not sure what to make of the Technology part...
Cheers,

Thanks, that helps.
Probably what was meant is that the data is *carried* by the incoherent light, altough since regular light disperses I don't see how that can be advantageous over coherent light.
Oh well.

They probably mean that it's really neat that it doesn't require a laser. That'd be my guess.
