What are your favourite chants?
Not the normal club anthems but witty and interesting ones
Examples:
Ipswich Town supporters a few years ago had Chris kiwomya playing for them and they used to sing:
"Kiwomya my Lord, Kiwomya.
Kiwomya my Lord Kiwomya,
Kiwomya my Lord Kiwomya,
Oohhh Looord Kiwomyaaaaa!"
While I was in Molineux amognst Barnsely fans a couple of years ago the Barnsley fans sang to the tune of Daydream Believer by the Monkees
"Cheer up Mark MacGee,
Oh What Can it Mean,
To a
Sad Scottish B*****d
And A S**te Football team"
Well I though they were funny anyway
And as MTRF said in another thread, Wrexham fans chanted
"Ou est Cantona" after he was banned for the attack on a Crystal Palace fan.

My favourite, when Wrexham score is to take the wind out of the opposition chants by using self-depreciation ...
"One - nil to the sheep sha**ers" goes down a treat!!

Just remembered another old Ipswich one.
When they last got relgated from the premiership they were actually winning a match for a change and the crowd were singing
"We're s**t and we'er beating you"
Can't remember who it was against though

I quite liked the Petit chant;
He's blond, he's quick,
His name's a porno flick,
Emmanuel, Emmanuel
I was sad that the second verse never caught on though
He's quick, he's blond,
He's won the Coupe du Monde
Emmanuel, Emmanuel

To the tune of 'Volare'
Roy Keeno whoo oh
Roy Keeno whoo oh
For fifty thousand quid
He scored for Real Madrid
Roy Keeno whoo oh

*Stand up if you hate Man U*
I've always found this a good ice breaker if I want to make new friends at away matches.

Come off it, Sunderland had that song ages ago with their rendition of "Cheer up Peter Reid...". It was released as a single that got national air play and loads of media coverage (true at the time I lived in the Yorkshire/Tyne Tees area.) I think it even made the lower reaches of the charts.

At every Welsh international away from home, we have a 1/2 hour (at the very least) rendition of Men of Harlech. If you don't know the song watch Zulu (the movie) ...
bouncing up and down singing Men of Harlech with our tops off usually goes down a treat with the locals

You're rigth Greydesk, I forgot about that. Just seemed funny at the match I was at and it hadn't connected. Oh well, put it down to Sunderland then.

We had a good one at Bradford the other week towards the end of our win (!) against Charlton: "It's a long way back to London when you've lost".
I also like the one that takes "You're not singing any more" to a new level: "Shall we sing a song for you?" (Followed by a falsetto chant of the opposing team's name).

Not strictly a chant, but the most bizzare crowd action has to be Cardiff City's 'Ayatollah'.
The crowd bounce up and down slapping themselves on their heads chanting "Do,the Ayatollah"
This was started quite a few years ago by a group of City fans at a gig by Welsh band 'U Thant' (who are all City fans too!) and has caught on 'big-style'!

Talking of Sheepshaggers,
At Derby when we get the obligatory chant, we reply with a chant of "Sheepshag army, sheepshag army". It seems to shut them up.
The best I ever heard was I think about a player called (something like) Zamora. It went to the tune of the the samg 'Amora';
When the ball hits the goal
It's not Shearer or Cole
It's...
Zamora
D.

Thats Bobby Zamora the Brighton striker (soon to be of Leicester no doubt). The song has actually been recorded and released as a single. But a single with very much local appeal only
