At the moment, the Ethernet jack is still disfunctional. How does that compare to the Union Jack after the devolution elections?

Actually, I'm surprised you're still going for that old-fashioned wired stuff when you could use the sub-ether net

The sub-etha net is all well and good, but connectivity from California is limited.
I have now gotten the jack working; punchdown tools are a wonderful invention.

Only 5 weeks? Well done! I'm minded to buy some kit in SFO next week - I fancy an ISDN router for the LAN and a wireless kit for the laptop. Have to see what CompuTown has on offer.
