"In fact I could have done this deal alone, but because of my position
in this country as a civil servant, i am not allowed to operate a foreign
account and would eventually raise an eye brow on my side during the
time of transfer because I work in this bank."
"would eventually raise an eye brow on my side"

2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side... Posted Sep 1, 2005
I don't know if that is the case or no; I think once I've been in discussion with them, they eventually realise that I'm not going to flal for their scam, so they then leave me alone I normally Email them back pretending* to be a 'half-swhit' and just take up lots of their time asking stupid questions of them, but acting as if I'm interested but not clear on what it all means, they get quite grumpy about it after a while then I useually tell them a final Email along the lines of:::
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am depely moved to have entered in discourse with you as regards the matter of helping you facilitate the removal of £900 M from the account of your late father, the king of Nigeria. As I do only want to be honest with you, I feel it is now an oppertune moment for me to reveal how after my assistance to you, you in turn may be of able to take both a financial benifit from a mutally benifical simular transaction.
For, I am none other than the Daugheter of the disposed late primminister of Nigeria, and therefore we must be related. So as you can see I am your Sister, and you my Brother.
To this end ......
The Email from the particular scammer normally then stops

Its alwayds funny to read them when they come in. They use a power-e-mailer that sends millions per second to something like all possible e-mail addresses that start with a vowel or something. It almost always seems to involve you giving them your bank details to transfer money. Its pretty scary, actually.

Pheloxi, I remember that one!
They claimed the money was buried in a park nearby.. when they got there, he scammer wanted his money, they claimed it was in a bank nearby.. the scammer made an excuse and left.
