I'm really not illeterate, but even the simplest forms are tricky, not to mention the important ones.

I can imagne there is not German "plain German"
...like the French I am no good in searching in German.

only advice I can give is search the German words like
- plain German
- policitian explained
- small print explained
- gobbledygook, jargon and legalese
- complicated lingo
- public communication
