the independent Safety Standards Council headed by prof. mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven published their report this morning. naming the minister of Justice and minister of housing and environment both responsible for the lack of safety of the dentention centre resigned...

prof. mr. Pieter van Vollenhoven is married to the sister Queen Beatrix, Princess Margriet. in the Netherlands the goverment is responsible for what Royal house says and does. strange idea that member of Royal house "sends" ministers home.

Hi Pheloxi, I guess you were expecting this news then?. If they've resigned then I suppose it means they accept the report, albeit, does'nt help the bereaved and injured much. Still, it's a start eh?.

the ministers saw the report in July. some of it was leaked. even the response of the ministers was leaked.

due to general elections the debate about the report could harm the different parties of coalition.
