Hello back!
Dunky, Muse of Hangovers and Father of Abigail, Muse of Babysick Posted Mar 28, 2001
Thanks for the greeting Lady Elly. Blimey, people are friendly round here! You've already helped me actually, I just followed the lonk on your little symbols and found the guide to them, including the codes -all I've got to do now is use them...
Actually, what would you recommend for a cold? I hate the weather here in the UK. Too many years of damp and rain!
See you soon
Dunky

Ooh - a hot whiskey is your only sure fire cure for the common cold.
Get a large mug and spoon in 2 large spoons of sugar
Get 3 lemon slices and poke cloves into them and put this in the mug.
Fill 3/4 full of boiling water and stir for a couple of minutes.
Add 2 measures of ordinary Whiskey.
Drink and then goi to bed.
Next morning, no cold...magic
Hello back!
Yael Smith Posted Mar 28, 2001
Well, my recipy is much worse- chopped onion with honey... Basically you should rest alot and drink anything BUT alcohol, because it makes your body even colder, which sounds kinda bad with A COLD, right? (spoken like a true nurse-to-be) Anyway, I'd love to have some of your rain- it's incredibly hot outside (somewhere about 30 degrees celsius) and dry and discusting. So maybe the best cure's to come visit me in Israel!
Nice

Like the recipe Mr Spearchucker, how many times can you drink it in say a day? I'm hoping it's more than once, you see. Not sure I like the idea of eating an onion - even if it is coated with honey like the Lady Elly suggested. Anyway, the only onion I have at home is Mr Onion, my vegetable drinking mascot, and I surely couldn't eat him. A much better idea than eating an onion is your idea of being somewhere warm, Lady Elly you are a genius.
Nice
Yael Smith Posted Mar 30, 2001
Please- Elly will do. Titles aren't my passion. Yes, you should stay warm, comfortable and as smug as can be. Use others as servants- that'll make you feel much better (tho unmotivated to heal). The Onion was suppose to be chopped and mixed with hot water and honey, but it is way too y to be in use. It's a Maroccan recipe, I think...
Anyway- I hope you'll get better soon- being
is the worst thing ever!!!
Nice

Thanks Elly, I'll drop the 'Lady' now, it felt a bit too gentlemanly anyway. I've just discovered another cure for a cold - it's called moving house. There's nothing like spending your weekend carrying beds and wardrobes up and down countless flights of stairs to kill the horrible little germs. I've tried getting my girlfriend to make me cups of tea and coffee, but it's a thankless task (and quite painful sometimes). Sometimes servants are an ungrateful lot...
Is it me, or is your list of titles getting longer? Plus, got any recommendations of places to see while I'm here. I feel I'm beginning to wander around a bit aimlessly
I'm glad you feel better!
Yael Smith Posted Apr 5, 2001
Sorry I didn't reply for such a long time- my computer went "Chunky Monkey"- both Bannanas and Nuts- and I couldn't go online. Oh, dear, yes, my title list IS getting longer! And I'm about to get another title!
! Anyway- places to go: coolest people I've met so far had something to do with the MuseHome, which you can link to from my user page and you can visit my friend Sad, mad, or bad, which you can link from Kingdom of Balwyniti, which is also on my page. Let me know what happened... Elly
I'm glad you feel better!

You're NEVER around, and the one time you were, you didn't reply my post!
Anyway:http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A596009
I thought you'd might be interested. I think it might be easier for you to get down there, and meet many (4, so far...) nice people, and give Mike my T-shirt, so he can bring it to me when he comes to live here.
Which would happen this September! Yay!!!
