erm, the latter i'm afraid. It was a spur of the moment thing 'think of a name' i said to myself, and i did. Perhapse with more careful deliberation i could have come up with something better, but i didnt and its too late now.

Mine turned up in a silly email to my mate once. I felt in a funny mood, so wrote to her as Sergeant Mushroom. She replied as Colonel Toadstool, and the rest is history.
