Whose Bright Idea?
Willem Started conversation Jul 9, 2013
My cat Poplap spends the evenings sitting on my lap as I do my online stuff - or sitting beside me on the spare chair when I the pins and needles I get in my legs and the numbness I get in my backside becomes too much (she's a rather hefty specimen).
Well ... *usually* she sits quietly. But this evening I was trying to work on a website that had an advertisement at the right side of the screen. An advertisement showing a mouse running around all up and down the right side of the screen.
And my screen is a touch screen.
You can picture the results. I really hope she hasn't bought or signed me on for anything ...
I wonder how one can turn the touch feature off? Apart from Poplap I often get moths and flies and stuff who come and do some browsing for me, which I don't actually appreciate much.

I can picture a cat doing that! My dog used to always try to lick the cursor when he saw it move.
Can things like flies and moths really activate the cursor on the screen? It must really be sensitive, or they must be bigger beasties than we have here!

We know this kitty-browsing over here.
One time, Clancy got interested while I was away from the keyboard, and when I came back, my screen was UPSIDE DOWN.
It's amazing how they find those hotkeys. It took me a while searching on Google to figure out how to restore it.

Does that mean Poplap is better now in which case you will forgive her anything?
Hope she hasn't signed you up for anything
Thanks for the smile

My cat is also rather heftybut she prefers watching the TV rather than my puny notebook! You should have seen her during Springwatch...the webcams in the nestboxes provided her with much entertainment!

Hi folks! Glad you found my kittie's antics amusing. What is funny to me is that she usually quite placidly ignores real rodents, birds and other things. The only thing she does occasionally catch is lizards - my skinks and geckoes - and I then try my best to rescue them.
Websailor, yes, she's much better but not completely all right yet. There's still a little scratch on her chin ... it keeps bothering her and she scratched at it a couple of days ago so she's going to stay with the collar for a few days more.
