h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi folks, just want to wish everyone still reading here a very merry Christmas! I'm doing better at the mo, my sister phoned me yesterday and we had a long talk and I think we managed to figure out what the problem was as well as what to do about it. I'm really feeling much more grounded now. It's going fairly well with feeding the birds, I've done it the fourth time today. In addition to the birds there is a Guinea-pig, a tortoise, and a bunch of frogs in a small pool at my friend's home, so it's a fun place to be.

I'm relaxing a bit today; I will watch the movie 'Brave' (Disney but not too bad) a bit later, I've painted a bit, I'm going to water my own plants in a mo or so.

That's a Fennec fox (and you can glimpse an Arctic fox, if I'm not mistaken, there as well for a second or so ... two species that most definitely won't meet in the wild).

This thing is fascinating for so many reasons. It moves like a mammalian version of a chameleon. It has sharp-tipped neck vertebrae that nearly poke through the skin and are used as a weapon; it also has venomous or at least allergenic saliva.
