h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Last night I dreamt a lot but cannot remember much about them. I do remember that I was working with my plants ... I noticed that some of them had water that hadn't yet drained into the soil, and these being succulents can't handle too much water, so I tilted the bags to pour the water out. Somebody, a friend in the dream, tried to help me with this but instead of only pouring the water out, poured out most of the soil and also the plants themselves. With dread I checked one of the plants to see if I could re-plant it but it had already started to rot!

I don't know exactly how, but this same friend then also managed to mess up my keys. Car keys, house keys ... after the friend had been entrusted with my keys, none of them worked any more! They had become different somehow. I had to experiment by trying every key in every lock until with great relief I found that they did work, only differently from before. But at least I could lock and unlock stuff again.

Both these dreams clearly represent actual concerns of mine. I am often worried about my succulents getting too much water and rotting. It does happen a lot. And I wouldn't trust someone else to help me with my plants.

The keys, too ... I am still very worried about accidentally maybe losing my car or house keys, and there are still keys in this house that I don't know which locks they open.
