Actually, in 1976 when I first came face to face with a computer I was scared stiff. It was the computer belonging to the University and one had to "feed" the information one wanted to use with cardboard entries which one slipped in when one wanted it.

Then I visited my children in Hong Kong and they were really in the know there. I actually bought myself a little computer and brought it home.

ah those were the days when they did not scare me to bits.

Hey Amy thanks for that link - very weird and fun thing to do, making a c64 laptop!

Hi again Christiane! I'd have loved to see one of those ancient (i.e. seventies) computers.

I am having great fun with my 'simulated' Commodore 64 but I decided to be up to date as well ... got myself a nice new game called 'Spore' with 3D graphics which I would not have believed if I had seen them say 20 years ago ...
