I am not the best at anything.


I am not the best looking bowler-hatted cannoneer.

I am not the best drummer.

I am nowhere near being the best writer.

I am not the best looking in general.

I am not the best lover.

I am not the most compassionate.

I am not the funniest.

I am not an over-achieving academic.

I am not in the best shape.

I cannot cook.

I cannot think of an equation equal to 42 using my ID number.

I do not even know what Hermetic Philosophy means.

I am not the best friend.

I cannot twirl my drumsticks around my hand.

I will probably never buy a jet to visit the people who have seemed to like me on this site.

Nor will I probably ever make a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy-themed music video which will feature cameo appearances by the h2g2 team.

I do not know what I want to do when I finish school.

I am not motivated.

There has been this wretched taste in the back of my throut all day long.

I am not the most magnetic personality.

I am not a sweet-talker.

I happen to like the great outdoors but always find myself inside.

I am not the best at sailing.

I am not the best orator.

I have trouble writing formally.

I have hundreds of acquaintances, but I do not have many people I would consider to be good friends.

I am not the hoopiest.

I cannot write about Rene Magritte.

I am not the best at transcribing English into Latin.

I cannot tapdance...?

I am not the best drinker *waves to 2Legs*

I am not even the best at being miserable.

I'm crying.

As one genius said, "I can't dance. I can't talk. The only thing about me is the way that I walk..."

Even my walk seems funny. Ah, well, I manage with what I've got.

Dear, take it from someone older, not necessarily wiser.. When you reach a stage just prior to taking wing on your own and your intellect outstrips most of your contemporaries, it makes you sad, mad and pondering exactly where you fit. Take heart, this too will pass. I swear it will.

Parents, well sounds like it's difficult. But look at it this way, they are no doubt doing the best thay can with what they've got, for some parenthood really does NOT come naturally. Trust me I had two of those.. And as hard as it is, perhaps it would help to think that maybe your Mum trusts you enough to let go and rant. Hard to sit and listen too after your own crummy day, I know. Maybe no one else listens to her. Dad? Well sometimes the only thing to do is just walk away. There are people that are incapable of realizing their actions really do impact others. Sad, but true.

And I have learned one thing, perfect really isn't all it's cracked up to be. Requires an inordinate amount of maintinence when there are far more fun things to do. Go have a little and realize what an amazing piece of work you are. That's an order, don't go messing up my average..

Listen to She Who Must Be Obeyed, Yoss... I know we haven't ever spoken, except that I did leave a very short message on 'The End', but I do know how you feel... I'm not the best at anything either, except maybe worrying... And I don't *want* more practice worrying...

Wait, that's not true! You're the absolut best Yossarian Prefect I've ever met!!!

This may be really out there, but might it have something to do with the fact that I'm most probably the only Yossarian Prefect you've ever met?

And what does it mean to be a Yossarian Prefect anyway?

It means a lot! Good things and bad things. It means not to be the best at most things, but that's just like anybody else. It means to be someone other cares for. In this case it means one who know something but not all about what's happened to Ottox the last days. And one whose U-number can be 42 rather easily: 1+5+37+4-5 (That's the only of all those things that I could do/be). It means to be someone who can make fun of my poor English and get away with it without being punished with a . It means to be a nice person and a friend. It means to be someone that makes me go to bed too late quite often. It means much more.

Glad you're feeling better. I'd hate to have seen my average ruined, bad for one's reputation you know. Time for this tired old girl -who spent the entire day attempting to be the best mother -to have a nice and a nice soak. If you ever need an ear, I'm here.
