I was getting bored with the web sites I had been reading. I usually enjoy reading everything I can find on Ancient History and Archaeologybut this time I was just tird of the entire subject. So I reached to the keyboard and typed 'dirty girty' for the heck of it. (I think its fantastic that I can type any word and come up with a subject.) Anyway.. msn went to" Simon (Dirty) Girty" and I was surprised. How in the world can anyone in the world have such a name as Girty? I thought.. if I had that name I would change it my own self.
I had to read about Simon Girty and come to find out he was an early American that had been captured by the Indians, had been adopted by them and had spent many years with them and became a scout in the Spanish American war. He doubl crossed the USA though and sided with his Indian parents people and well, he was an interesting man.
Simon (dirty) Girty was an entry on H2G2 and so I joined. This was a nice accident because I am going to enjoy reading the entries of the many people that visit here.
I will tell you more about myself when I have time..Tanna
