Friday afternoon after work, I ran into Sarah Schooley walking down Adams. I offered her a ride home; we sang along to Stevie Wonder songs and I gave her our secret handshake.
Not many people showed up to the party, even though I spent most of the week inviting everyone I knew. Those who showed up included Bowls McLean, LaRonda Spencer, Dave Malley, and Lina with an armful of doritos, beef jerky and licorice.
The next morning, I drove Lina home and went to an Alexander Technique lesson. Ed, a nervously cheerful, overweight man with blue eyes, gently corrected my posture. He gave me a book and told me to come back next week.
I fought my way back through Gay Pride and Cub's Game traffic and changed for Nicole Salter's wedding reception in the Sears Tower. I was late but it didn't matter. Pat, his wife, and his two baby children were there. I played with his son Pete, a 2 year old. Pete got trapped under my chair, ran around and fell down on purpose, sang songs from tv shows, etc.
I went home to the familiar sight of Poindexter and Chris O. sitting and watching tv. Lina called me to tell me that she threw up and got her period. After watching "Wrath of Khan," I crashed at her place.
The next day we fooled around and had lunch at Mamacita's before I went to Chris Nicholson's to work on music a bit. When I arrived I found a note directing me to the beach, where Heidi and Chris were hanging out. The three of us went to Cross Rhodes and then we put a glockenspiel in 'Blue Island.' That night (Sunday) I went back over to Lina's and had another frustrating evening.
Today, I was incredibly late for work.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
