Boo hiss! Didn't make the ballot for next years cyclosportive event the Dragon Ride.

Ha well, I shall spend my refunded entry fee on another one - the Tour of Pembrokeshire in April is much cheaper at £20 and then there's the Etape Cymru which is more expensive at £59 but has closed roads (luxury!)...

Hmmm, the former is on 27th April 2013, the latter is on 8th September, both are calling to me...

Well I've entered the Tour of Pembrokeshire for starters to be done with my brother - this time for definite. Not sure why I bothered with the Dragon Ride ballot thing at all really now. Inexperience I guess.

I've also joined the UK branch of Audax (www.audax.co.uk). They are a long distance cycling organisation - minimum audax even distance is 100 km I'm going to do a 200 km at the end of January as a first go. These things involve getting sent a card which you get stamped with receipts and stuff at set points along the way to make sure you kept to the trail. Should be interesting and a good chance to start meeting some other cyclists. I'm also planning to get Phil out on one of these (probably a 100 km one to begin) as it should be a nice day out together.

Hmm...I believe you can get a Dragon Ride at the Harry Potter Experience.
