although guides is aimed at 10-14 year olds, you can be a guide until you are 16 which means that there is an overlap with senior section reflecting whether the girl wishes to be a young leader and if there are any ranger units nearby.
one point about the outdoor activities is that there are often more than once a year camping/holiday opportunities depending on the unit.

Iam 16 years old(nearly 17)and still a member of the Guides and i am not yet a senior section leader. You are not allowed to become a senior section leader while you are doing your baden Powell challenge which i am doing as a guide.
