Balamory is an educational soap opera. it features a gay policeman, who (in song refers to the birds and bees), hypnotic teacher Miss Hoolie, keep-fit Notting Hill carnival regular Josie Jump, yogurt pot-obsessed inventor Archie, Afro-American painter/ DIY man Spencer sweet old shop owner Susie Sweet, and disabled wheelchair-user Penny. And there's bus driver Edie McCredie, played by an actress who was a Summerisler in the Wicker mAN, whic hBalamory resembles. Balamory is filmed on Tobermory, the place a Womble's named after. it began production as Tobermory, but had to be changed due to some Womble fans thinking it was a spinoff. due to lack of ideas, Balamory was cancelled after 131 eps. they could've had a pub, teenagers, Grange Hill-like stories, and the coming out of gay PC Plum.
