I wanted to reply to a couple of things you put in a POV thread about "Lootenant" vs. "Leftenant", but they closed the thread so I couldn't. There. So here I am.
First, you said: "I noticed Jean Luc-Picard says "loo" as well". Interesting thing about that is that clearly Patrick Stewart (English but working in the US) had to deliberately say "loo". The proof of this is that in one episode (can't remember which), he forgets, and addresses Worf as "Leftenant". It happened once in nearly 180 episodes, but it did happen...
Second you said "I wouldn't pronounce French words as if they were English, it would sound stupid". How do you pronounce "Paris"?
