h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I figured that for my first journal entry, I'd just vent some of my emotions on the Disney corporation. They must be the most evil company since Satanco. Here is my reasoning. It's not so much that these movies are horrible movies, with about as much depth as a reflecting pool, but that they turn other stories this way. These movies take stories, some of them classics, and manipulate them until they all have exactly the same plot. All of them: Aladdin, Hercules, Rosemary's Baby, they all had exactly the same plot. They also had the same character structure. Watch these movies and think about this: 1 protagonist, very good, 1 antagonist, very evil, antagonist has bumbling sidekicks, usually 2, protagonist has several semi-bumbling sidekicks, as well as love interest, who is decided in the beginning of the movie. I'm simply offended that interesting stories like the Greek myths of Herakles (I may write a seperate entry about that movie) are bastardized so that kids can be milked by a cold, unfeeling corporation. Call me cynical if you like. In fact, please do. Call me cynical, right now. After all, it's true. But if I'm cynical, at least I don't like Disney movies.
